SSG Ellington joined C/3/12 in
1976 and graduated from the SFQC as a Light Weapons Sergeant. He was a member of ODA
333. SSG Ellington was a truly
extraordinary individual with many abilities. He was a financial consultant with a
special talent for the stock market.
He also found time to work in private
security and as a private investigator.
SSG Ellington was seriously injured in a
UH-1H helicopter crash in August, 1984 during a training mission in Bishop
California. He broke his back in the crash and was left a parapalegic.
He died on 10 May, 1988 from complications of
his injuries.
